Baptism Weekend

Marianne's baptism was a very special day. It was a wonderful celebration of God's faithfulness. For us her baptism was a reminder of what Christ has done for us on the cross and also a chance to look forward in faith to what He will one day do in the life of Marianne. We feel blessed to have shared this special day with our family and friends. We are so grateful that the Lord has surrounded us with people that love us and Marianne in such beautiful and tangible ways!

The first group of picture are from Saturday when we went to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The two special exhibits going on right now are "Atlanta Blooms" which boasts 200,000 bulbs and a special orchid exhibit. They made for some great pictures!

Marianne got some very nice and thoughtful gifts in honor of this special day from friends and family. Aunt Sandie sent her a great pearl bracelet which fit perfectly and Uncle Wes, Aunt Lysa, and Zoe sent her a beautiful pearl necklace. Both of these gifts were perfect for wearing on Sunday and to have as a remembrance of this special day every time she wears them from now on!

Here are a few pictures of everyone on our deck before our little brunch! It was so nice of our friends to join us especially Matt and Julie who came after Matt's running of a half marathon. What a trooper!

  1. Thank you for sharing Marcie! I know it was such a special day for y'all! Those pearls will be treasures for the rest of her life!
I'm so enjoying watching her grow up! I want her to stay little, though, so I can hold her!
    Have a blessed Easter!
